A quiet permission slip for emotional honesty in public space.
Task: Develop a high-end collectible line for adults that gives form to emotional states without explaining or resolving them.
Directive: Translate emotional honesty into sculptural objects — restrained, tactile, and fashion-adjacent — designed to sit comfortably between culture, design, and everyday life.
Approach: Built a quiet collection of figures with poetic naming, soft materials, and understated packaging, allowing emotion to be recognized rather than performed.
Result: A culturally sharp collectible world positioned for retailers like Dover Street Market and Kith, designed to resonate without spectacle.

Legend Of the Seas / Sculpture
An indulgent object designed to be felt before it’s understood.
Task: Create a large-scale sculpture to serve as a signature art piece aboard the Legend of the Seas cruise ship.
Directive: Craft an artwork that blends glamour, desire, and fleeting indulgence—something that feels luxurious, edible, and impossible to ignore.
Approach: Designed a melted strawberry sculpture with mirrored and gold surfaces, dimensions ~3.5–4 ft height, installed on a high pedestal.
Result (TBD 2026): A striking visual centerpiece that enhances the luxury aesthetic aboard, captures guest attention, becomes a photo moment, and elevates the ship’s branding through onboard presence and social engagement..
Domestic Artifacts / Home
A refusal to let domestic objects settle into usefulness alone.
Task: Treat furniture as sculpture and prototypes as proof of imagination—an open-ended exploration of form and function.
Directive: Push design into playful absurdity, creating objects that sit between utility and artwork, between domestic comfort and cultural critique.
Approach: Developed one-off prototypes and speculative designs—fluid chairs, cloud-like seating, candy-colored skins—as artifacts of a continuous flow of experimentation rather than fixed production.
Result: A living archive of ideas that resists commodification, showing OTHRLND’s ability to stretch design beyond furniture into cultural statement.








Boom Bloom / Painting
A visual trap where beauty carries the shape of violence.
Task: Create a body of work that blurs the line between beauty and destruction.
Directive: Explore the duality of a flower in bloom and a bomb in ascent—an image that is both life-giving and annihilating.
Approach: Developed large-scale wall pieces where linework simultaneously reads as petals and explosion trails, while carrying the weight of geopolitical tension.
Result: Boom Bloom becomes a paradoxical emblem—serene, decorative, and stylish at a glance, but conceptually loaded, forcing viewers to sit inside the tension between fragility and force.

Celsius / Campaign
Proof that sensory design alone can carry brand meaning.
Task: Craft high-impact commercials for five Celsius flavors.
Directive: Turn a can opening into a cinematic event.
Approach: Shot at 1000fps with Phantom cameras and robotic rigs, choreographing liquid, ice, and vapor into frame-perfect slow motion.
Result: A suite of sensory-rich spots that elevated Celsius from product demo to cultural spectacle.
(re)boot x MLS / Apparel Launch
A deliberate reframing of sportswear as cultural artifact.
Task: Provide creative direction for the MLS x (re)boot campaign photoshoot.
Directive: Capture the tension between streetwear and sport—make each piece feel both rooted in soccer culture and elevated as fashion.
Approach: Spotlight the reconstructed kits as one-of-one design objects, balancing athletic authenticity with editorial polish.
Result: A cohesive campaign shoot that defined the visual identity of the launch—supporting a drop that sold out and cemented (re)boot’s cultural credibility.
Ford Mustang Mach-E / VP
A reframing of technical capability as lived experience.
Task: Showcase the Mustang Mach-E’s battery range by visualizing a full drive from Miami to the southernmost point of the Florida Keys.
Directive: Deliver a cinematic story that makes the journey feel as effortless as the car’s performance.
Approach
Built 3 miles of the Florida Keys in Unreal Engine, mixing virtual production and VFX with live car studio shoots.
Result
A visually striking campaign proving the Mach-E’s range—blending innovation with storytelling, and showing how virtual production can make impossible shoots both cost-effective and cinematic.
Walmart / Mom & Pop Shop
A decision to let a mass brand speak in a human scale.
Task: Create a short promo introducing Walmart’s new series celebrating America’s favorite mom & pop shops.
Directive: Capture the nostalgic charm of small-town main streets while aligning with Walmart’s nationwide reach.
Approach: Developed a 10-second visual story using AI-generated imagery and motion graphics.
Result: A polished, eye-catching promo that opened the series with warmth and energy, grounding Walmart’s message in community and tradition while using cutting-edge creative tools to deliver quickly and efficiently.
Wc Donald's / Anime / Young Miko
A test of entertainment as brand infrastructure rather than advertising.
Task: Creative Direction with Alma Agency on an anime-inspired McDonald’s campaign and live activation.
Directive: Follow the lead of McDonald’s national anime release—centered on a four-part sauce series created by artist Acky Bright—and make WcDonald’s real, bridging hand-drawn anime and live action.
Approach: Produced an anime-style spot with Young Miko, paired with a two-day projection-mapped pop-up in West Hollywood that was part music video, part immersive dining.
Result: A sold-out cultural moment that blurred ads, music, and anime—earning national press and multiple industry awards.
Lucky Break / Public Sculpture
A permanent invitation to believe in possibility.
Task: Create a landmark sculpture for South Park Commons in Downtown LA that symbolizes hope and ambition.
Directive: Design something bold, poetic, and instantly iconic—an object for people to wish upon, to photograph, to gather around as a marker of possibility.
Approach: Installed in the new public park at Grand & 11th. Integration with landscape design turned the piece into a civic anchor.
Result: A public artwork people return to. A visual wishbone in the city where dreams are made. “Lucky Break” invites passersby to make a wish, serving both as sculpture and daily inspiration.
Flapping Gums / Public Projection
A public mirror for the exhaustion of constant commentary.
Projected nightly in my Los Angeles studio window on Melrose Ave, Flapping Gums featured a wind-up chattering teeth toy spinning inside a red void.
The loop echoed the nonstop churn of news and social media. Periodically, the teeth caught fire and melted, creating a brief moment of silence before restarting. The cycle never resolved.
US / THEM - ART PERFORMANCE
A reminder that identity is assigned, but responsibility is shared.
Task: Stage a live performance interrogating how identity is constructed and divided.
Directive: Create an experience where people confront the arbitrariness of “us versus them” while still carrying the emotional weight of the label.
Approach: Installed an institutional booth with The Decider, a device that randomly assigned visitors to “Us” or “Them.” Each participant was photographed and issued an ID card, complete with a personal note on the back pointing toward small kindnesses and shared responsibility.
Result: Hundreds of participants engaged daily. Many reacted emotionally, some even cried, as the performance exposed how quickly strangers accept division when framed as official, and how powerful it feels to be handed even a fragile sense of identity.
To The Victor Belongs The Spoils
A ritual designed to reveal how easily we accept meaningless competition.
Task: Stage a ritual that exposed how humans invent competitions and divisions, for no purpose beyond the need to belong.
Directive: Invent a game with goats so absurd that the audience sees themselves in the ritual, confronting what it means to cheer, to pick sides, to believe there is something to win.
Approach: Two goats in uniform roam a gallery with strawberries and hanging piñatas; audience given flags; environment patterned and divided; goats pull strings to release rose petals, but there’s no true victory.
Result: left spectators uncomfortably aware of their own participation. Why do we fight over sides? What’s the cost of belonging? It was covered in press for its emotional impact and jarring absurdity.
